      What is Mental Health? 
      Mental health encompasses our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, influencing how we handle stress, relate to others, and make decisions. Mental health is essential at every stage of life, from childhood through adulthood, and is a crucial part of overall health.
      Emotional Well-being
       The ability to manage and express emotions appropriately, whether they are positive or negative. This includes understanding and coping with feelings like happiness, sadness, anger, and anxiety..

      Psychological Well-being
      Encompasses personal growth, self-acceptance, and the ability to realize one’s potential. It involves autonomy, self-esteem, a sense of purpose, and mastery over one’s environment.

      Social Well-being

      What are mental disorders?
      Mental disorders are conditions that affect a person's thinking, feeling, behavior, or mood. These disorders can significantly impact daily functioning and quality of life. They may cause distress and problems in social, work, or family activities. Mental disorders vary widely in severity and duration, and they can be influenced by a combination of genetic, biological, psychological, and environmental factors.

      Different types of mental disorders
      Anxiety Disorders Characterized by excessive fear or anxiety. Includes conditions like Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, and specific phobias. 

       Depressive Disorders Involve persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest in activities. Includes Major Depressive Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia), and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

       Bipolar Disorder Marked by extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression). Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and Cyclothymic Disorder are common forms.

       Schizophrenia and Other Psychotic Disorders Involve distorted thinking, perception, and a loss of contact with reality. Symptoms include hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.

      Personality Disorders Characterized by enduring patterns of behavior, cognition, and inner experience that deviate markedly from the expectations of the individual’s culture. Includes Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, and Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
